If you pick-up the phone on a Simple Phone Box, and hear "device not registered" verbally instead of dial tone, follow these troubleshooting steps and reasons:
- Is the device connected to the internet? This error will occur if the device is not connected to the internet. Be sure the ethernet cable is connected securely, and verify the internet with a different device.
- Does the device have an IP address? Pick up the phone, and press * * * (star key three times), then 0 2. If the IP address is 0.0.0.0, then the device is not getting access to your network. Verify that your router and internet are working.
- Your account or service is suspended. This error will play if your account is suspended for a billing or service reason.
Never press Reset without our direction, and restart the device between changing cables. The device can take up to 2 minute to startup once plugged in.
